We designed this experience to bring you the best of Alaska by air and sea. Our trip includes flying over the beautiful Kenai Mountain range in a genuine bush plane, landing in a pristine secluded cove, climbing aboard a large comfortable vessel, dining on a gourmet meal, topped off by another spectacular flight back to Homer. You will meet us at our float plane docks in Homer and depart for a 35-minute scenic flight over blue ice glaciers, cascading waterfalls, and snow-capped mountains. Along the way, we often see mountain goats resting on rocky cliffs, black bears eating grass and blueberries in the alpine, moose standing next to the river, and much more. Your pilot will land at the end of Port Chatham Bay where the M/V Peregrine awaits. Greeted by our expert crew, you’ll board this vessel known as “Alaska’s Adventure Headquarters” and pull up a seat at a cloth-covered banquet table on our huge front deck. This is where an incredible dining experience takes place.
Over the next hour, you’ll enjoy a meal fit for royalty. Let’s begin with a light appetizer of Alaska smoked salmon mixed with cream cheese, and a crisp vegetable tray with a variety of dipping sauces. And then, we’ll bring out the main course! At center table will be a heaping plate of steamed Alaskan crab legs and a side of melted butter. This will be followed by your choice of New York steak or juicy marinated chicken grilled to perfection. For vegetable selections, we offer parmesan-crusted asparagus or sauteed green beans sprinkled with sea salt, and oven roasted red skinned potatoes. No meal would be complete without dessert. How about some warm apple pie and vanilla ice cream? After the meal is complete, sit back and relax with a hot cup of coffee or tea. Time to break out the binoculars and look for breathtaking wildlife around the bay. Our floatplane will return to pick you up and take you back to Homer.
