We're looking for someone who is creative, observant, and detail-oriented to help capture and share the experience of what we do.
Destination Alaska Adventure Co. offers high-end Alaska adventures! Our brand is established and intentional – we're not looking to reinvent it. We're looking for someone who can step in, understand the vision and bring life through thoughtful, high-quality content.
This role is about more than posting – it's about noticing moments as they happen and turning them into stories people want to be part of.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Capture photo + video during trips, charters, flights, and day-to-day operations
- Document real, candid moments on the water, in the air, and around Alaska
- Edit content (reels, stories, posts) in a clean, cohesive, on-brand style
- Write captions that feel natural, engaging, and story-driven
- Schedule and post across Instagram and other social media platforms
- Engage with our audience (comments, DMs, community interaction)
- Help maintain a consistent, elevated online presence
What We're Looking For:
- Strong eye for aesthetics, storytelling, and composition
- Comfortable shooting and editing content
- Basic Familiarity with camera equipment (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Ability to capture authentic moments – not overly staged or forced
- Understands social media, but timeless content values over trends
- Takes direction well and can execute a clear vision
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
- Local to Homer, AK and able to work as a person
Bonus:
- Experience with outdoor, travel, or lifestyle content
- Lightroom, Canva, or video editing apps
- Comfortable being on boats, small planes, and in remote environments
Details:
- Full-time during peak season (May-September) flexible hours (schedule will vary with trips/adventures)
- Pay based on experience ($25-$28)
